It was such a wonderful day when almost 40 people in the city of Medan gather together with one heart : caring for the children with special needs. Thanks to all families, friends and colleagues for the support!
Last Saturday, 17 September 2016, working together with The Harvestrs, we finally had a chance to host a sharing and seminar with the title of 'God's Calling in Children with Special Needs', in Clapham Collective, Medan. The attendees were from a variety of churches, schools and other organizations.
We shared the basic knowledge about children with special needs. And we encouraged them to :
- Keep spreading the awareness about children with special needs
- Keep caring for them
- Keep teaching them
- Keep guiding them
Because we know, God has a special purpose for parents, teachers, and caretakers of children with special needs. This is no accident. God knows everything, and He is allowing this to happen because He knows a bigger picture of our lives and our children's.
We are so joyful that a lot of them were so enthusiastic. We should do this again in the future! There are great blessings upon us when we, as a body of Christ, work together, hand in hand, to serve the society and to love them selflessly.
